Aubameyang slams CAF after feeling like a 'hostage' in airport delays

Gabon players, including Arsenal star Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, have been left stranded at a Gambian airport amid reports that players have had their passports held by staff.

The Arsenal captain has headed to the West African country with his team-mates for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, with the side looking to qualify for the tournament, having missed out in 2019.

But images on Twitter show the players lying on the airport floor, where they have been since 11pm local time last night, with fans outraged at the treatment of the squad.
