EXPECT MORE SAYS ALKALI & OGUNOWO AS THEY BETTER NATIONWIDE LEAGUE ONE STANDARD.


The just concluded Nationwide League One 2020/2021 season which saw over 132 teams campaign for promotion to Nigeria National league (NNL) was played in 16 different centres across Nigeria.

Numerical steps were taken to upgrade the NLO standard ranging from matches been played in neutral grounds, Fair officiating, match appointments , coaching clinic, Match balls, Live match Streaming etc.

The leadership of Alhaji Mohammed Alkali as the Chairman of NLO has contributed greatly to the development the league witnessed.
It can only get better with him at the helms of affairs as the height of great development, proper organization, good officating and co-ordination  which saw each team registering not less than 25 players for the league with average of seven officials respectively.
Further more, numerical steps were taken to upgrade the NLO standard ranging from matches been played in neutral grounds, Fair officiating, match appointments, Coaching clinic, Match balls, Live match Streaming etc, all were 
Mohammed Alkali and Mr Olushola Ogunowo  collective effort and passionate aim.

In addition, matches were watched online as they were streamed live on pipul's TV (mobile application) which made it very easy for everyone to watch NLO Matches live and this was a step to show NLO steps to limelight.

Acknowledging the leadership of Mohammed Alkali,  Mr Olushola Ogunnowo is another man in the picture of an improved NLO. As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the league, Ogunnowo was less ubiquitous in the efforts to deliver a campaign of repute and it did manifest. We wait to see that the league continue to be a beacon of hope for all the prospective and talented footballers in the country and most importantly, with a guaranteed investment he said.

In addition, the Chief operating officer Mr Olushola Ogunowo made it clear before the league started  that the target was to better the league to a greater standard and leave a footprint to show a progressive effort. In the nearest future,NLO will be a league rated high to be compared with much attention by sponsors& investors.

Sports Journalists In Aba Honor Finidi George in Post-Afcon Reception.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
