Water FC duo of Oladoye and Chinonso Sign For Belgian Giants Gent


KAA Gent of Belgium have acquired the services of Flying Eagles star striker Emeka Chinonso and defensive midfielder Adewale Oladoye after they impressed in some friendly games with the first team
The duo who will clock 20 years by August and September respectively have resumed training with the club’s first team.
Chinonso is a powerfully built centre-forward and made the final squad to the 2019 U20 World Cup in Poland.

Adewale is a tall, tough-tackling defensive midfielder who featured for the most recent Flying Eagles at the U20 AFCON qualifiers in Benin Republic last year.
Chinonso and Oladoye's are the latest  Nigeria players who have represented the capital club including Augustine Eguavoen who captained the side at some point, also Moses Simon and Kalu Uche have also played for the Belgian Giants.

Sports Journalists In Aba Honor Finidi George in Post-Afcon Reception.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
