NILAYO SPORTS CONGRATULATES LAGOS ON SELECTION AS HOST CITY FOR AFRICAN ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS


Nilayo Sports Management Limited has congratulated Lagos state on selection as host city for 22nd edition of African Athletics 
Championships. 

In a statement, the Chief Executive Officer of Nilayo Sports, Mr. Bukola Olopade 
said “We say a big congratulations to Lagos state because this is a great achievement.
Hosting the African Athletics Championships for the second time 
is an outstanding feat.

Over 1000 athletes from 54 African countries will 
converge on Lagos for this event.

event.

 African Athletics Championships is a unique economic driver in any city 
that can have the opportunity to host it.

 Sports is a veritable tool for development in any society and its impact as a means of social inclusion drastically affects the trajectory of youth development. 

“I salute the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under the leadership of Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. 
Sunday Dare and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria for this great 
accomplishment.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and we stand firmly behind him.”

The African Athletics Championships is scheduled for June 23rd to 27th 2021. 

The event is a continental athletics event organized by the Confederation of African Athletics, the continental association for the sport in Africa.
