Nigerian Football Legend Kanu Nwankwo Woos Polish Clubs for Enyimba FC


In a bid to expand Enyimba FC's international presence, Nigerian football legend Kanu Nwankwo recently visited Poland to lure Polish clubs into partnering with the Nigerian football club.



Kanu Nwankwo was received in Poland by the Ekwueme brothers, younger siblings of the enigmatic Sporting Director of Enyimba FC. The brothers played host to Kanu Nwankwo during his visit, facilitating meetings with top Polish clubs.



Kanu Nwankwo held productive meetings with several Polish clubs, showcasing Enyimba FC's achievements, infrastructure, and growth plans. The meetings were reportedly well-received, with Polish clubs expressing interest in partnering with Enyimba FC.


As a result of the visit, Enyimba FC is now in advanced talks with Polish clubs, with discussions focusing on partnership opportunities, including player exchange programs and training camps.


This development is seen as a significant step towards expanding Enyimba FC's International visibility

Sports Journalists In Aba Honor Finidi George in Post-Afcon Reception.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
