Edel Fc duo Arinze Anya and Harrison Ofonime join Ljungkile SK of Sweden.


Edel FC attacking sensation, Arinze Anya and midfield maestro, Harrison Ofonime have put pen to paper with Swedish third division club Ljungkile SK Herrfotboll on a one year loan with an option of signing outrightly for two years. Arinze and Harrison traveled with Work Permits. Both players are part of Edel FC's current campaign in the NNL and contributed massively to our present position now.


Ljungskile SK is a Swedish football club located in Ljungskile, a town within Uddevalla Municipality. They currently play in the Swedish third tier, Division 1 (Ettan Sodra). The team was formed on 16th of May 1926. They are currently 11th on the table after playing 6 games so far. Harrison and Arinze will hope to help them move up the table. 


Reacting about the news, the Team Manager of Edel FC, Fancy Ewulu, spoke glowing about the movement, thank the management of the club led by Mr Jude Edeh in making sure that deal happened. He equally optimistic that both players will excel while being worthy ambassadors of the club. The Technical Adviser of the team, Willie Udube wished them well as he believes that both players have what it takes to excel anywhere in the world more so in  Sweden. 



The deal was brokered by Super agent and former Super Eagles player, Prince Ikpe Ekong, who spoke highly of the professionalism of Edel FC starting from the President Mr Jude Edeh and other management staff. He thanked the manager of both players Mr Victor Okonkwo for being proactive. According to Ekong, this will be one of many to come from Edel FC. 


Both players departed Nigeria via Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos as the Edel FC's team Secretary, Myckie Chukwuebuka and their Manager Victor Okonkwo were on hand at the airport to wish them well among other family members and well wishers. They have been unveiled by the club and expected to join first team training from Sunday 5th May, 2024.
