Aba Sports Journalists Set To Trade Tackles With Bankers Fc

As Part of their end of year activities,
Aba Sports Journalists will play a friendly game on Friday, 23rd December 2022 against Bankers FC of Aba, at Abayi Girls School Field

It is a novelty game which will see the sports OAPS, analysts and bloggers in Aba show that apart from talking and writing sports, they can play the game too.

Some of your favorite OAPs & Online bloggers in the city will be on parade and you will get to see Ochang Ogar Jude a.k.a OJ Ferrari, Frank Okoye a.k.a The Orangeman, Bethel Kalu, Desportspastor Elchijo, Incorruptible Sam, Jon Chinatu, The Football Flakes, Henry Nna, Afonne Chukwuemeka a.k.a Emilex, not forgetting Chuks The Pundit would be on parade to display their skills on the football pitch

Players to watch from Bankers FC are Chief Mike Chima known as Iniesta of Bankers FC and Olisa Gigi Buffon

Don't forget the date: Friday 23rd December 2023. 

Kick-off is 2pm at the football of Abayi Girls Secondary School.

Former Enyimba and Super Eagles Star Obinna Nwaneri will perform the kick-off.

Sports Journalists In Aba Honor Finidi George in Post-Afcon Reception.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
