NFF Elections: Aisha Falode Endorsed by Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland

Ahead of the 2022 election of the Nigeria Football Federation, the Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland, Hon. Bukola Olopade has endorsed Aisha Falode, the Chairperson of the NWFL

Speaking on NSM, a prestigious online platform, Olopade said Aisha’s pedigree and achievements have earned her his endorsement

“I agree absolutely. This is the only person I can come out to support openly.”

The former Commissioner of Sports in Ogun State and CEO, Nilayo Sports Management agreed that Aisha Falode is a woman who can change the narratives

Aisha Falode had declared her intention to run for a seat in the highly respected Executive Committee of the NFF. The football administrator whose strides have been noticed in the NWFL says she wants to be part of the Executive Committee as an elected member, not on appointment as NWFL boss

Sports Journalists In Aba Honor Finidi George in Post-Afcon Reception.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
