Former Water FC of Abuja star Adewale Oladoye scores on European debut for Belgian side Gent.


It was a dream debut for Former Flying Eagles midfielder Adewale Oladoye  as he scored in Gent's Uefa European conference league qualificatiom match against RSF of latvia.

The highly rated former Water FC of Abuja defensive midfielder opened the come back for his belgian side in their two all draw with the latvian side. 

Oladole's well taken goal was scored in the 52nd minute before dutch striker tarik Tissoudalli completed the comeback in the 77th minute. 

The belgian side who dominated the game for the entire 90 miniutes have all to do in the return leg to ensure their place in the next round.

But  the 19 year old Oladole who was a delight in the middle of the park was in action for the entire ninety minutes of the game.

The 6ft midfielder who has drawn huge comparisom with Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi is widely expected to break into the limelight this season in the Belgian top flight.

Members of the Aba Sports Journalists Forum(ASJ)  came out in their numbers to a dinner, to welcome and honour Ex-international and  Super Eagles assistant coach, Finidi George after the exploits of the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoir. The dinner which was hosted by Finidi George, who is also Enyimba's coach had journalists from different media outlets asking Finidi questions about his AFCON experiences, the Super Eagles, Enyimba and his time as a player and other questions on his experience as coach of the current NPFL Champions.  It was a moment to relax, learn and hear from the legend who has won the AFCON Gold, Silver and Bronze medal as player and coach.  The former Ajax winger would be in charge of his first game at Enyimba since returning from the AFCON when Enyimba host Gombe United on Thursday afternoon.

Lagos State FA Chairman Congratulates Manu Garba On His Appointment As Golden Eaglets Coach

  Lagos State Football Association Chairman, Hajji Liameed Olawale Gafar, has congratulated Manu Garba, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Nigeria U17 national football team, the Golden Eaglets.  Manu Garba's first tenure as Eaglets Manager saw him handling footballers such as Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac  Success, Francis Uzoho, Chidiebere Nwakali and Musa Muhammed to victory at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup.   According to Hajji Gafar, he believes that this experience makes Manu Garba the ideal candidate to lead the Golden Eaglets to new heights. The coach who returns for his third stint with the team has been saddled with the responsibility of leading the current crop of players to next month's WAFU B U17 Championship which serves as qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.
