SPOJAN ELECTIONS: Canada based Adewale Ajayi, eight others elected

The Sports Journalists Association of Nigeria (SPOJAN) has elected Adewale Ajayi as the inauagural president of the Association. The hitchfree election was conducted on Saturday 23rd, October 2021 as members elect officers into various executive positions.  SPOJAN is an Association of Nigerian journalists residing within and outside Nigeria with aim of providing enabling environment for its members by offering trainings, seminars, and most importantly taking in to cognisance welfare of members. In his acceptance speech, the newly elected president of the Association, Wale Ajayi thank members for the opportunity bestow on him to lead the Association while also admitting the skepticism arrogated to the Association but promises to steer the course to a desireable destination. Playmaker Akinkunmi Amoo has again hit the headline for the right reasons in the Swedish Allsvenskan after the quick footed player was rewarded for his weekend heroics with a place in the team of the week. Making a return to the starting XI for Bajen in their derby clash at the Tele2 Arena (Stockholm) against AIK, the 19-year-old popped up with the game’s only goal just before the hour mark to give his side a well-deserved three points. His performance has now attracted yet another player of the week honours with the attacking midfielder named in the team of the week for match day 23 by Discovery+ Sports. "The mood in our ranks is good" - ANFASSC boss Ogunjimi speaks ahead of friendly against SWAN Selected     Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) aim for SWAN Selected scalp, feeling that'd give them solace ahead of the friendly match. This is according to the President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi leading up to their clash against SWAN Selected at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium on Tuesday 5th October. ANFASSC will put on their traditional Green attire, while SWAN Selected will defend their dark blue colours. "We know it's a very big game, especially coming up against such a solid team with good players. Even so, we know what we have to do. We're going into this game fully focused on winning. We're not going there thinking about losing," Prince Ogunjimi told the Media on Saturday. Ogunjimi appears to be drawing motivation from the lively mood in his team's camp ahead of the game on Tuesday.
